ABSTRACT A corrosion inhibited, clear, high-density composition capable of long term use as a well servicing fluid under conditions of elevated temperature comprises a solution of zinc bromide, calcium bromide, and, optionally, calcium chloride in water having a density in the range of about 15.0 to about 20.0 ppg and a corrosion inhibiting amount of a member selected from the group consisting of ammonium thioglycolate, calcium thioglycolate, thioglycerol and mixtures thereof. -28-
