3-15152/MAC 1873/- Corrosion-inhibiting aqueous coating compositions Abstract of the Disclosure An aqueous corrosion-inhibiting coating composition containing a) an aqueous film-forming binder and b) as the corrosion inhibitor, an effective amount of an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic di-, tri- or tetra-carboxylic acid which is substituted in its aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical by at least one group of the formula I Image I in which X is oxygen, sulfur or NH and each R independently of the others is hydrogen, alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, phenylalkyl, halogen, - CN, -NO2, -COOH, -COOalkyl, -OH or a primary, secondary or tertiary amino or carbamoyl group, and also base addition salts of these compounds.
