A composition and method of inhibiting corrosion caused by naphthe.pi.ic acid in fluids includes using a combination of a thiophosphorus compound and a hydrogen sulfide scavenging compound. The hydrogen sulfide scavenging compound significantly enhances the performance of the thiophosphorus compound and may be included at relatively low levels in the composition. The treatment may be applied to fluids including crude oils and lighter fractions thereof.

L~invention concerne une composition et un procédé pour inhiber la corrosion provoquée par l~acide naphténique dans les fluides et prévoit l~utilisation d~une combinaison d~un composé de thiophosphore et d~un composé d~élimination à base de sulfure d~hydrogène. Le composé d~élimination à base de sulfure d~hydrogène permet d~améliorer la performance du composé de thiophosphore et peut être inclus dans la composition à des concentrations relativement faibles. Le traitement peut être appliqué sur des fluides, notamment des pétroles bruts et leurs fractions plus légères.
