A composition for inhibiting metal corrosion in acid gas removal amine units caused by CO2 and O2 gases. The composition comprises from 5 to 10 weight percent hydroxybenzoic acid, from 20 to 30 weight percent of a reaction product of maleated tall oil fatty acid polyhydroxy polyalkane and ammonium or potassium hydroxide; from 5 to 15 weight percent tallow diamine quaternary dichloride or alkanediol or mixtures thereof; from 15 to 30 weight percent alkanol or alkanolamine; up to 50 weight percent water and up to 10 weight percent antifoaming agent. The composition, when added to an aqueous alkanolamine solution, effectively inhibits corrosion of metal in contact with the aqueous alkanolamine solution.
On décrit une composition destinée à inhiber la corrosion de métaux dans des solutions aminées servant à enlever des gaz acides, corrosion provoquée par les gaz CO¿2? et O¿2?. Cette composition comprend 5 à 10 % en poids d'acide hydroxybenzoïque, 20 à 30 % en poids d'un produit de réaction du polyhydroxy polyalcane d'acides gras de résine liquide, sous forme maléate, et d'hydroxyde d'ammonium ou de potassium, 5 à 15 % en poids de dichlorure quaternaire d'une diamine de suif ou alcanediol, ou de mélanges de ces substances, 15 à 30 % en poids d'alcanol ou alcanolamine, jusqu'à 50 % en poids d'eau et jusqu'à 10 % en poids d'un agent anti-mousse. Cette composition, lorsqu'on l'ajoute à une solution aqueuse à l'alcanolamine, permet d'inhiber de manière efficace la corrosion d'un métal en contact avec la solution à l'alcanolamine.
