A package for facilitating the protection of metallic surfaces against corrosion and including a blend of corrosion inhibitor and surface-conditioning component such as a degreaser, descaler, and/or anti-static component in liquid state impregnated into a substrate such as a wipe for simultaneous and direct application to the surface of the article being protected. The corrosion inhibitor component is preferably an amine salt of carboxylic acid, triazole, an alkali metal salt of aldonic acid, or alkanolamine salts of fatty acids, an alkali metal or alkanolamine salt of aromatic sulfonic acid, or blends thereof. The substrate is preferably a wipe fabricated from a fabric such as soft cotton, but may also include other wipe materials such as woven or non-woven polyolefin fabric, or non-woven materials such as paper toweling.
Système pour faciliter la protection de surfaces métalliques contre la corrosion; il comprend un mélange d'agent anti-corrosion et de conditionneur de surface, comme un dégraissant, un détartrant et (ou) un composé antistatique, à l'état liquide, imprégné dans un substrat, comme un tampon, pour application directe et simultanée à la surface de l'article à protéger. L'agent anti-corrosion est de préférence un sel d'amine et d'acide carboxylique, un triazole, un sel de métal alcalin d'acide aldonique, ou des sels d'alcanolamines d'acides gras, un sel de métal alcalin ou d'alcanolamine d'acide sulfonique aromatique, ou un mélange de ces composés. Le substrat est de préférence un tampon à base d'un tissu en coton, mais il peut également renfermer d'autres matériaux pour le nettoyage, comme des tissus de polyoléfines tissées ou non tissées, ou des matériaux non tissés, comme du papier essuie-tout.
