An aluminium-based alloy consisting of about 0.06-0.25 % by weight of iron, preferably 0.06-0.15 % by weight, 0.05-0.15 % by weight of silicon, up to 0.10 % by weight of manganese, preferably 0.03-0.08 % by weight, up to 0.25 % by weight of titanium, preferably 0.10-0.18 % by weight, up to 0.18 % by weight of chromium, preferably 0.10-0.18 % by weight, up to 0.50 % by weight of copper, preferably less than 0.01 % by weight, up to 0.70 % by weight of zinc, preferably 0.10-0.18 % by weight, up to 0.02 % by weight of incidental impurities and the balance aluminium, said aluminium-based alloy exhibiting high corrosion resistance and high tensile strength.

L'invention concerne un alliage d'aluminium constitué d'environ 0,06-0,25 % en poids de fer, de préférence 0,06-0,15 % en poids, 0,05-0,15 % en poids de silicium, jusqu'à 0,10 % en poids de manganèse, de préférence 0,03-0,08 % en poids, jusqu'à 0,25 % en poids de titane, de préférence 0,10-0,18 % en poids, jusqu'à 0,18 % en poids de chrome, de préférence 0,10-0,18 % en poids, jusqu'à 0,50 % en poids de cuivre, de préférence moins de 0,01 % en poids, jusqu'à 0,70 % en poids de zinc, de préférence 0,10-0,18 % en poids, jusqu'à 0,02 % en poids d'impuretés accidentelles et le reste constitué d'aluminium, ledit alliage d'aluminium présentant une excellente résistance à la corrosion et une haute résistance à la traction.
