ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An amorphous alloy is prepared by rapid quenching from the liquid state and consists essentially of 10 to 40 atomic per- cent of P and/or Si and 90 to 60 atomic percent of two or more of Pd, Rh and Pt. The amorphous alloy is used as an electrode for electrolysis.
