The invention comprises a magnesium alloy material comprising up to 5 wt.% of at least one element from the group composed of sp-metals and manganese, preferably .1 to 2 wt.% or .1 to 1 wt.%. The magnesium materials are resistant to corrosion and are especially useful in articles exposed to aqueous electrolytes during use or production.

L'invention comprend un alliage de magnésium, renfermant jusqu'à 5 % en poids d'au moins un élément du groupe composé de métaux sp et de manganèse, et de préférence de 0,1 à 2 % ou 0,1 à 1 % en poids. Les produits à base de magnésium résistent à la corrosion et sont particulièrement utiles dans les articles exposés aux électrolytes pendant leur utilisation ou leur production.
