Description

ABSTRACT A corrosion resistant joint comprising a sheet of a metal susceptible to corrosion, the sheet having a hole therethrough and corrosion resistant material on both its face, and a corrosion resistant tube passing through the hole, characterized by a corrosion resistant sleeve located within the hole and welded to the corrosion resistant material at both faces of the sheet, thus inter- posing corrosion resistant material between the hole and the surrounding part of the sheet, said tube being disposed within and secured to the sleeve. Such joints are particularly useful in tube and shell heat exchangers.
