A corrugated cardboard tube (1A) includes a tubular laminar structure of single-lined corrugated cardboard which includes a plurality of strips of single- lined corrugated cardboard (2) spirally wound into a substantially cylindrical configuration to form corresponding single-lined corrugated cardboard layers (31to 36) overlapping and bonded with each other in a radial direction. Each of thestrips of single-lined corrugated cardboard (2) is composed of an elongated liner sheet (2b) and a corrugated sheet (2a), having a plurality of parallel ridges (2d) and furrows, and being spirally turned in a direction perpendicular to the ridges (2d). The corrugated cardboard tube (1A) is used as a load bearing member adapted to support a load acting in a direction (S) axially of the corrugated cardboard tube (1A). The corrugated cardboard tube (1A) may also be used as leg members of a pallet (6) or a skid (60) and, in such case, the corrugated cardboard tubes (1A) are bonded at their annular ends to upper and lower plates (6a and 6b) or to an upper plate (6c) to complete the pallet (6) or the skid (60).
Tube de carton ondulé (1A) comprenant une structure tubulaire laminaire de carton ondulé à simple épaisseur qui compte une série de bandes de carton (2) ondulé à simple épaisseur enroulées en spirale de manière essentiellement cylindrique afin de constituer des couches (31 à 36) correspondantes de carton ondulé à simple épaisseur, qui se chevauchent et qui sont collées les unes aux autres radialement. Chaque bande de carton ondulé à simple épaisseur (2) est composée d'une feuille de couverture allongée (2b) et d'une feuille ondulée (2a) possédant une série de crêtes (2d) parallèles et de creux, enroulées en spirale dans une direction perpendiculaire aux crêtes (2d). Le tube de carton ondulé (1A) est utilisé comme élément porteur de charge conçu pour supporter une charge agissant dans une direction (S) axialement par rapport au tube de carton ondulé (1A). Le tube de carton ondulé (1A) peut également servir à former des éléments verticaux d'une palette (6) ou un patin (60) et, dans ce cas, les tubes de carton ondulé (1A) sont collés à leurs extrémités annulaires à des planchers supérieur et inférieur (6a et 6b) ou à un plancher supérieur (6c) pour compléter la palette (6) ou le patin (60).
