A heat exchanger for a furnace includes a plurality of juxtaposed heat exchanger sections each having a configuration which is at least partly non-linear. The heat exchanger sections have corrugations for increasing a surface area exposed to an airstream through the furnace. The heat exchanger is located in a plenum of the furnace and the heat exchanger sections function as fire tubes.
