ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A corrugated pipe with a smooth inner lining and method of production is disclosed. The invention overcomes a problem of joining corrugated pipes together, or joining a corrugated pipe to a straight pipe where the more normal procedure is to wrap the joint with tape. In the pipe, the inner lining consists of an un- corrugated foil and has an outside diameter corresponding substan- tially to the inside diameter of the corrugated pipe. The lining is secured therein by an adhesive to the inside of the pipe, and the space between the foil lining and at least one corrugation trough is completely filled with a sealing compound. In the pro- cess, at least one corrugation of the pipe is completely filled with a sealing compound, and a sleeve made of thin foil having an outside diameter approximately equal to the inside diameter of the corrugated pipe is inserted into the pipe and pressed against the inner wall so that it lies tightly against the sealing compound in the corrugation.
