A cortical stimulator system is provided. The system may include; a stimulation device having a switch configured to selectively control various electrodes; and a user interface device operatively connected to the stimulation device for controlling the electronic switch and stimulation device, the cortical stimulator system config-ured to provide a report of provided stimulation. A method of operating a cortical stimulator may be provided. The method may include: connecting a set of probes to the cor-tical stimulator, selecting parameters regarding a signal to be sent to the set of probes, sending a signal to the set of probes; observing the response of a subject having the set of probes contacting the subjects brain when the signal is sent to the probes, entering the observed response into the cortical stimulator, associating the response to a specific set of probes, and generating a report describing the re-sponse and associated probes.
La présente invention concerne un système de stimulation corticale. Ledit système peut comprendre les éléments suivants : un dispositif de stimulation doté d'un commutateur conçu pour commander sélectivement diverses électrodes; et un dispositif d'interface utilisateur relié fonctionnellement au dispositif de stimulation afin de commander le commutateur électronique et le dispositif de stimulation, le système de stimulation corticale étant conçu pour fournir un rapport de stimulation procurée. L'invention porte en outre sur une méthode d'utilisation d'un stimulateur cortical. Ladite méthode peut comprendre les étapes consistant à: relier un ensemble de sondes au stimulateur cortical; sélectionner des paramètres relatifs à un signal devant être envoyé à l'ensemble de sondes; envoyer un signal à l'ensemble de sondes; observer la réponse d'un sujet dont le cerveau est en contact avec l'ensemble de sondes lorsque le signal est envoyé aux sondes; entrer la réponse observée dans le stimulateur cortical; associer la réponse à un ensemble de sondes spécifique; et produire un rapport décrivant la réponse et les sondes associées.
