The invention concerns a cosmetic agent for removing make up, from any keratinous substrate, in the form of a film formed by a cross-linked hybrid material resulting from a sol/gel reaction. Said agent is a chelating agent either on its own or in solution in a solvent, said chelating agent or its solution being selected such that it forms with said formed film a contact angle less than 90·.
