ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An applicator device for applying a cosmetic preparation from a container to a surface e.g. a user's skin comprises a wiper device with at least two differently formed resilient wiper elements. The wiper lips near the open end of the container enclose and make wiping contact with a shaft member of the applicator and the other wiper elements enclose the applicator and make wiping contact therewith.
