The invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing at least one inhibitor of 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase and cosmetologically-acceptable carriers. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method that is used to promote hair growth and/or to prevent or delay hair loss. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of an inhibitor of 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase for the preparation of a composition that is intended to combat hair loss and/or to promote hair regrowth.
