La présente demande concerne une composition cosmétique comprenant un mi- lieu cosmétiquement acceptable, et se présentant sous forme d'un gel aqueux so- lide, comprenant par ailleurs au moins un alcool polyvinylique, ladite composition présentant une mesure de contrainte comprise entre 200 et 10 000 Pascals. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de cette composition, ledit procédé comprenant au moins une étape de refroidissement d'une solution aqueuse homogène d'alcool polyvinylique, jusqu'à une température inférieure ou égale à -5°C, suivi d'au moins une étape de réchauffement de la solution jusqu'à une température de 20-25°C.
