ABSTRACT A stabilized thermoplastic moulding composition based on halogen-containing polymers, in particular polyvinyl chloride and vinyl chloride copolymers. The stabilizer system contains as primary stabilizers zinc compounds of the formula R1O-Zn-OR2 wherein R1 and R2 represent, for example, aliphatic acyl groups having 8 to 21 carbon atoms and at least one polymeric primary stabilizer from the group of polyoxazolines. The costabilizers according to the invention are at least two compounds selected from the group of pyrroles, dihydropyridines, copolymers of oxa- zolines and bisoxazoles and, optionally, polyols. The moulding compositions according to the invention show better heat stability than compositions stabilized with primary stabilizers only.
