COUNTER APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure Apparatus for measuring the radioactivity of the contents of a plurality of receptacles supported in a rotatable ring. A first group of a selected number of the receptacles is aligned,by the incremental rotation of the rotatable ring, above a like number of probes for re- ceiving the receptacles and for measuring the radioactivity of the contents thereof. Upon this alignment, the rota- tional movement of the ring stops and the ring is vertically lowered a selected distance so that the selected number of receptacles are received in the probes. After a time interval sufficient for the measurement of the radioactivity of the contents of the selected number of receptacles by the probes, the ring is vertically raised to its original position thereby removing the receptacles from the probes. The ring is then rotated another incremental distance to bring a second group of the selected number of receptacles into alignment above the probes and the cycle is repeated. This cycle is continued until the radioactivity of the contents of all the receptacles supported in the rotatable ring is measured. S P E C I F I C A T I O N -1-
