The invention relates to a counterfeit-proof metallic foil (1), whose surface is structured in at least one given subsection (2, 4), said subsection having a refractive value that differs from that of the remaining surface area (3, 5). The inventive metallic foil is suitable for use as packaging material for medicaments amongst other things. The supplier or consumer can thus verify by means of the given surface structure, which functions as an identification mark, whether he or she has acquired a genuine product. If a substantial part of the surface of the metallic foil is structured, the foil appears to contain a printed image and can thus also be used as a decorative foil or as an advertising medium.

La présente invention concerne une feuille métallique infalsifiable (1) qui est structurée dans au moins une zone partielle prédéfinie (2, 4) de sa surface. Cette zone partielle présente un indice de réfraction différent de celui du reste des zones de surface (3, 5). La feuille métallique selon cette invention est adaptée à un usage en tant que matériau d'emballage, notamment pour des médicaments. Le producteur ou le consommateur peut ainsi vérifier, à l'aide de la structure de surface prédéfinie qui sert de signe d'identification, s'il a acquis un produit falsifié ou non. Si une grande partie de la surface de la feuille métallique est structurée, l'image qui apparaît équivaut à une image imprimée et la feuille métallique selon cette invention peut donc être utilisée comme feuille décorative ou support publicitaire.
