The invention concerns a device for counting series of thin products (2), stacked side by side, and includes a means of illuminating the stack (5) producing one or more light beams covering the whole length of the stack (5),- a detection resource with a detection circuit, including a multiplicity of photosensitive elements, an optical device, associated with the detection circuit, that can be used to focus light rays reflected by the stack (5), - storage resources a separating element (1) included in the stack (5) between two adjacent series of thin products (2), where each separating element (1) has a mark placed on one part of one of its edges where a part of the marking is illuminated by a lighting resource and visible to the detection resource;- processing resources receiving signals coming from the detection circuit and arranged so as to distinguish the visual limit of the thin products (2) as well as the mark on the separating element (1).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif destiné au comptage de séries de produits minces (2) empilés côte à côte, dans une direction spécifique, dans un moyen de support, les produits minces (2) formant une pile (5). Le dispositif comprend notamment les éléments suivants : un moyen d'éclairage permettant d'éclairer la pile (5), produisant un ou plusieurs faisceaux lumineux couvrant au moins toute la longueur de la pile (5); un moyen de détection comprenant au moins un circuit de détection équipé d'une pluralité d'éléments photosensibles et au moins un dispositif optique, associé au circuit de détection, pouvant être utilisé pour concentrer les faisceaux de lumière réfléchis par la pile (5); des moyens de stockage se caractérisant par le fait qu'ils comprennent au moins un élément de séparation (1) prévu dans la pile (5), au moins entre deux séries adjacentes de produits minces (2), chaque élément de séparation (1) comportant au moins une marque située sur au moins une partie d'un de ses bords, une partie de la marque étant éclairée par au moins un moyen d'éclairage et visible pour au moins un moyen de détection; et des moyens de traitement conçus pour recevoir des signaux provenant du ou des circuits de détection et pour distinguer la limite visuelle des produits minces (2), ainsi que la marque située sur ledit élément de séparation (1).
