SPECIFICATION TITLE OF INVENTION: A coupled structure of constituting machine elements in machinery ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A compound lathe is provided with a tool post (herein- after referred to as a machine element) and a tool post slide (hereinafter referred to as a machine element), and each of these machine elements is formed as a structure to be mutually coupled, and each machine element is provided with a coupling mechanism comprising a pressure chamber, a columnar member that receives the fluid pressure in the pressure chamber as a uniform tensile stress of axial direction, and a holder that is substantially made of a rigid material and being fixed to the tip of the columnar member so as to be shiftable only in the axial direction, and the coupling mechanism is integrally provided on each machine element to be mutually coupled by the base end portion of the columnar member and the holder to control the fluid pressure in the pressure chamber so that the positional relationship of each coupled machine element can be minutely adjusted. - 1 -
