A coupler/sucker rod tool set for use in removing couplers from sucker rods is disclosed. The tool set comprises a coupler clamp wrench for holding a coupler and a back-up wrench for holding a sucker rod. The back-up wrench comprises a set of forks sized to fit over the square section of a sucker rod, and a handle. The coupler clamp wrench comprises a handle, and a fixed jaw and a pivoting jaw positioned in a wrench head in such a way that the space between the jaws need not be adjusted in order to fit the standard sizes of couplers.
