A method of sealing an expandable tubular within a bore comprises the steps of providing an expandable tubular describing a first diameter and having a sealing medium on its outer surface, running the tubular into a bore and expanding the tubular within the bore to describe a second larger diameter, and activating the sealing medium to facilitate provision of a seal between the tubular and the bore.

Procédé d'obturation d'un puits de forage au moyen d'un tube d'accouplement expansible comprenant les étapes suivantes : la fourniture d'un tube d'accouplement expansible d'un premier diamètre et doté d'un élément d'obturation sur sa surface extérieure; la pose du tube dans un puits de forage; l'expansion du tube dans le puits pour qu'il atteigne un second diamètre et l'activation de l'élément d'obturation pour améliorer l'étanchéité entre le tube et le puits.
