There is provided a novel coupling apparatus for use in a hollow shaft of a golf club in which the shaft is divided into an upper portion comprising a grip and a lower portion comprising a head. The apparatus comprises a male part adapted to be inserted and secured into either the upper or lower portion of the shaft. The male part comprises a threaded member, wherein when the male part is in place within the shaft, the threaded member extends axially outwardly from the shaft. The apparatus further comprises a female part adapted to be inserted and secured into the other one of the upper or lower portion of the shaft,. The female part comprises a body member, wherein when the female part is in place within the shaft, the body member extends axially partially into the shaft. The top portion of the body member is tapped to receive the threaded member in threaded engagement to couple the upper and lower portions in an operable orientation.
Nouveau dispositif de couplage à utiliser dans le manche creux d'un bâton de golf. Ce manche est divisé en une partie supérieure comprenant une poignée et une partie inférieure comprenant une tête. Le dispositif comprend une partie mâle pouvant être insérée et fixée dans la partie supérieure ou inférieure du manche. La partie mâle comprend un élément fileté qui, une fois la partie mâle placée à l'intérieur du manche, se prolonge dans le sens axial à l'extérieur du manche. Le dispositif comprend également une partie femelle pouvant être insérée et fixée dans l'autre partie du manche. La partie femelle comprend un corps qui, une fois la partie femelle placée à l'intérieur du manche, se prolonge en partie dans le manche dans le sens axial. La partie supérieure du corps est taraudée de façon à recevoir l'élément fileté afin de coupler les parties supérieure et inférieure dans une orientation de fonctionnement.
