ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Coupling arrangement for the watertight sealing of the ends of an insulating outer body of an electric power transformer. It comprises, at each end of the transformer, a plate which extends transversally of and laterally beyond the end of the body and a sealing device between the plate and the end. An annular flange loosely surrounds the body, facing surfaces of the flange and of the body being formed with con- tinuous channels defining together a spring housing having opposing spring shoulders. A coil spring surrounds the body and flange, being contained within the housing. Bolt and nut assemblies on the flange and the plate draw them toward one another so as to grip the spring between the shoulders whereby to press the end of the body against the sealing means.
