According to the invention a needle (3) is arranged in a housing (1) such that it can be advanced and retracted by the rotation of a screw (6) and protrudes laterally outwards through an opening (2) located in the end area of said housing. Said needle is further connected to a cable (10) via an overcurrent protection element situated inside the housing (1). The housing (1) and screw (6) consist of an electrically insulating material. After the housing (1) by means of cable links (19, 20) has been connected near a separation point (21) to a phase conductor (17) of a power cable (18) belonging to a power distribution system and the needle (3) has penetrated the insulation of the phase conductor (17), a transceiver connected to the cable (10) can be used to transmit information via the power distribution system.

Selon l'invention, une aiguille (3) peut être avancée dans un boîtier (1) et en être ressortie, par rotation d'une vis (6), et fait saillie latéralement vers l'extérieur, par une ouverture pratiquée dans la zone terminale dudit boîtier. Cette aiguille est reliée à un câble (10), par l'intermédiaire d'un fusible de sûreté placé à l'intérieur du boîtier (1). Ledit boîtier (10) et la vis (6) sont réalisés dans un matériau électro-isolant. Un appareil émetteur/récepteur connecté au câble (10) peut servir à transmettre des informations par l'intermédiaire du réseau de distribution de courant, après fixation du boîtier (1) au moyen de connecteurs de câbles (19, 20) à proximité d'un point de séparation (21), sur un fil de phase (17) d'un câble d'énergie (18) faisant partie du réseau de distribution de courant et après que l'aiguille (3) ait traversé l'isolation du fil de phase (17).
