ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE COUPLING DEVICE BETWEEN A DIVERGENT RADIATION LIGHT SOURCE AND AN OPTICAL FIBRE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SUCH A DEVICE The present invention relates to a coupling device between a light source, particularly a semi- conductor laser and an intermediate fibre. The device comprises a plano-convex lens joined to the inlet face of the fibre made from glass having a higher refractive index than the fibre and obtained by bringing the end of the fibre into contact with a molten glass droplet. A spherical cap is obtained, whose parameters can be controlled.
