ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to a system for coupling a PAM time division system to a PCM time division system. The system comprises a speech signal processing circuit including a plurality of parallely connected sections, each of these sections having one end connected to a channel of the PCM sys- tem and another end to a main speech line of the PAM system. Each section comprises a plurality of switching and storing means for directionally transferring speech information between the PAM and PCM systems. Computing means, having at least two cyclic memories provided with a plurality of stages, control and select one speech section, one cyclic memory storing the address of a calling subscriber. The computing means energize switches corresponding to the selection of that one speech section. And, a timing circuit sequentially actuates the switching means and thereby transfers information from one storing means to another, whereby the speech information are bidirectionally exchanged between the PAM and PCM systems.
