A coupling mechanism for a molten metal processing system includes an elongated shaft having an upper axial end and a lower axial end. A passage having a torque facilitating shape extends through at least a portion of the shaft. The upper end of the shaft tapers inwardly and forms a tapered seat. At least one channel is machined into an outer surface of the upper end of the shaft. The channel has a first portion extending longitudinally downward from a top surface of the shaft and a second portion extending from the first portion at an angle greater than 90° relative to the first portion. A coupling member, for coupling the shaft to a drive system forming a bayonet coupling. The cavity of the coupling member tapers outwardly forming a mouth which engages the tapered seat of the shaft in a sealing relationship.
L'invention concerne un mécanisme de couplage destiné à un système de travail du métal en fusion. Le mécanisme comprend une tige allongée présentant une extrémité axiale supérieure et une extrémité axiale inférieure. Un passage dont la forme est conçue pour faciliter le couple s'étend à travers au moins une partie de la tige. L'extrémité supérieure de la tige défile vers l'intérieur pour former un siège conique. Au moins un canal est usiné à l'intérieur d'une surface extérieure de l'extrémité supérieure de la tige. Le canal présente une première partie qui s'étend longitudinalement vers le bas depuis une surface supérieure de la tige, et une deuxième partie qui s'étend depuis la première partie à un angle supérieur à 90 DEG relativement à la première partie. L'invention concerne en outre un élément de couplage pour coupler la tige à un système d'entraînement formant un raccord baïonnette. La cavité de l'élément de couplage défile vers l'extérieur pour former un bouche assurant une prise étanche avec le siège conique de la tige.
