Abstract In a coupling for making a connection secured against rotation and axial displacement between a hub (1) and a shaft (7), keys (11) of the one part engage in grooves (14) on the other part. Radial projections (19) are fixed to an insert (18) which is fixed to rotate with the hub (1). A screw (24) passing through the shaft (7) and egaging in a tapped hole (26) of the insert (18) presses the shaft (7) with an external shoulder (15) against a backing face (17) of the hub (1). This results in a rigid connection without play between the hub (1) and shaft (7). Fig. 1.
