The invention relates to a coupling for interconnecting at least two pipes (1) of a geothermal heat exchanger system, comprising at least one female coupling part (2) and at least one male coupling part (3) that can be inserted therein, at least one fluid seal (4) being provided between the coupling parts (2, 3) for sealing the coupling parts (2, 3), especially in a fluid-tight manner. At least one, preferably annular or cylindrical, reinforcing element (5) supports at least one of the two coupling parts (2, 3), preferably at least the female coupling part (2), so that said coupling part (2, 3) is not radially deformed, preferably not radially expanded, and is produced of a material or material composition different from that of the coupling part (2, 3).
