A COUPLING FOR USING AND TESTING WATERTIGHTNESS OF DEVICES SUCH AS RADIATORS. ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a new coupling system for use in testing watertightness of devices such as combustion engine radiators. The coupling consists of an outer casing which grips the upper, outwardly directed flange of the filler neck of the respective radiator. An internal double-diametered cylindrical piston with seal about its large diameter section is arranged to be sealingly engaged with an upper and inward edge of the filler neck of the radiator. The engagement is maintained by the pressure of the testing medium, usually compressed air. The advance in the art is in an easier and more convenient application and in a more reliable sealing engagement between the coupling and the radiator or the like.
