COUPLING PROCSS OF TWO MEMBERS Abstract of the Disclosure The specification discloses a process for coupling two metallic members in which a first member to-be-coupled and a second member to-be-coupled are joined by plastic deformation of a coupling member therebetween. The steps comprise forming a concave portion having an inclined surface on a coupling face of each member to-be-coupled, arranging the members to-be- coupled with a space therebetween, interposing the coupling member in the space, and applying force to the coupling member by means of a metal mould to satisfy the following relationship: O ? S ? ?b wherein S is the distance in the force direction be- tween the metal mould and the concave portions, and b is the width of the space between the members to-be-coupled. The invention can be used for coupling discs, cylinders, shafts, columns, flat plates etc. etc. The process has the advantage that the coupling strength is high, relatively small and simple apparatus can be used.
