An attachment system for a boat cover using an insert strip press fit in a conventional rub rail channel fixed to the boat hull. The insert strip has a lengthwise slot which is configured to mate with a series of retainer elements attached about the perimeter of the cover. Each retainer element has a portion configured to be received in the insert strip slot and locked thereto by being turned sideways. In one embodiment, the retainers have a flattened pin which can be pushed into the insert strip slot and turned, a larger head portion thereby fit to a larger interior section of the slot to be locked therein. In another embodiment the retainer elements each have a pair of spread projections which are compressed together to be able to be pushed in through the slot entry section and which spring apart in the interior slot section, to be locked therein. A threaded pin can be advanced between the projections to produce a positive spreading of the projections. Racks and battens can also be attached to the insert strip using the same retainer elements.
L'invention concerne un système de fixation pour une couverture d'embarcation utilisant un ajustement pressé d'une bande d'insertion dans un rail de guidage classique fixé à la coque de bateau. La bande d'insertion comprend une fente longitudinale qui est conçue pour s'accoupler avec une série d'éléments de retenue fixés autour du périmètre de la couverture. Chaque élément de retenue comprend une partie conçue pour être reçue dans la fente de la bande d'insertion et verrouillée à cette dernière en étant tournée vers le côté. Dans un mode de réalisation, les éléments de retenue comprennent une broche aplatie qui peut être poussée dans la fente de la bande d'insertion et tournée et une tête large ajustée à une section plus large intérieure de la fente afin d'être verrouillée dans cette dernière. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, les éléments de retenue comprennent une paire de protubérances étalées qui sont comprimées l'une contre l'autre de façon qu'elles puissent être introduites à travers la section d'entrée de la fente et qui se séparent en se relâchant dans la section de fente intérieure, de façon à y être verrouillées. Une tige filetée peut être enfoncée entre les protubérances afin de produire un étalement positif des protubérances. Des bâtis et des voliges peuvent également être fixés à la bande d'insertion à l'aide des mêmes éléments de retenue.
