A B S T R A C T A conveyor belt cover for steep conveyance of dusty material having two flexible conveyor belts spaced apart from each other and running along the conveyor path as carrier belt and cover belt. Each belt has at its longitudinal edge flexible closure strips which become engaged in pairs in the conveyor path to form a closed box-shaped conveyor space and which become disengaged at return locations of the cover belt by a lateral tilting of the closure strips of the cover belt. The latter are disposed at the outside with respect to the closure strips of the carrier belt. The closure strips of both conveyor belts have waved vertically orientated ridges with each ridge being of the same height with the ridges of one closure strip being laterally offset from those of the other such that the ridges are disposed beside each other at a small transverse spacing in pairs along the conveyor path. Each waved ridge has profile knobs at the wave crests disposed at the outer side in the case of the carrier belt and at the inner side in the case of the cover belt. The knobs are arranged in one or more rows in parallel with the conveyor belt and at such vertical spacing from the conveyor belt that they contact each other in rows at least at their respective undersides facing the conveyor belt.
