A cover assembly for a food processor having a cover for cooperating with a working bowl or container, an accessory for selectively cooperating with at least one opening in the cover, a safety system including a disengaging assembly that cooperates with the cover and accessory to selectively deactivate or disengage the safety system such that the cover and accessory can be simultaneously separated and removed from the food processor or adjusted relative to each other and or the food processor.
