In a personal watercraft wherein an engine 17 is disposed at a central portion of a craft body and a water jet propeller 18 is disposed at a stern, and a propeller shaft 33 of the water jet propeller is connected to an end 31 of a crankshaft of the engine by a shaft coupling 32 and the shaft coupling, the end of the crankshaft and the propeller shaft are covered from above and from leftwardly and rightwardly with a cover, the cover 22 includes a first cover 35 removably attached to the engine or the hull, and a second cover 36 removably attached to the first cover for covering the shaft coupling and the propeller shaft. When the cover is to be removed, it can be considered that it has the size only of the second cover, and even if the space for working is small, no much time is required for removal and re- attachment.
