An electronic animal trap with a CPU-controlled, rearming, high voltage output circuit for trapping and exterminating pests. The high-voltage out put circuit is connected to a pair of killing plates which are activated with a high-voltage pulse train for a period of time constituting a killing cycle when a known impedance is sensed across the plates. If, upon conclusion of the killing cycle, the impedance remains across the plates, the circuit activates a visual indicator to alert a user that the trap contains a dead mouse. However, if the impedance increases to that of an open circuit, likely meaning the animal has escaped, the circuit automatically rearms itself and no visual indicator is initiated.
L'invention concerne un piège à animaux électronique (120) pourvu d'un circuit de sortie haute tension à réarmement commandé par UC (186) et servant à piéger et exterminer des animaux nuisibles. Le circuit de sortie haute tension est connecté à une paire de plaques de mise à mort (102, 104) activées au moyen d'un train d'impulsions haute tension pendant une période constituant un cycle de mise à mort lorsqu'une impédance connue est encore présente dans les plaques. Si cette impédance est encore présente dans les plaques à la fin du cycle de mise à mort, le circuit active un indicateur visuel pour signaler à un utilisateur que le piège contient une souris morte. Toutefois, si l'impédance augmente jusqu'au niveau de celle d'un circuit ouvert, ce qui signifie que l'animal s'est probablement échappé, le circuit se réarme automatiquement, aucun indicateur visuel n'étant alors activé.
