A trolley having an operating position suspended from an overhead load carrying beam of a crane. The trolley has upward extending arms having wheels mounted at their upper ends for supporting the trolley on rails affixed to the beam. Drive motors are mounted on the arms adjacent the wheels for moving the trolley along the beam. The arms are pivotally connected at their lower ends to a trolley platform which carries a hoist. The arms may be pivoted outward and downward during factory assembly of the trolley to facilitate mounting of the wheels and drive motors on the arms. During shipment of the trolley, the arms may be pivoted inwardly of the platform to minimize the trolley width. The arms may also be pivoted to assist in mounting the trolley on the beam.

Cette invention concerne un chariot suspendu à la poutre d'un pont roulant. Il comporte des bras orientés vers le haut et portant à leur extrémité supérieure des galets destinés à assurer son déplacement le long de rails fixés à ladite poutre. Chaque bras porte à proximité des galets un moteur d'entraînement servant à la translation du chariot sur les rails. Ces bras sont articulés par leur extrémité inférieure à la plate-forme du chariot supporte un treuil. Ils peuvent donc être rabattus vers l'extérieur et le bas en cours d'assemblage du chariot en usine pour faciliter la mise en place des galets et des moteurs d'entraînement. Pour le transport du chariot, ils peuvent être repliés vers le centre de la plate-forme pour réduire l'encombrement du chariot en largeur. On peut également les faire pivoter pour faciliter le montage du chariot sur la poutre du pont roulant.
