Description

CRANKSHAFT MECHANISM HAVING A VARIABLE STROKE AND A PRESS EMPLOYING SAID MECHANISM Abstract of the Disclosure A stop position correcting device for stopping a slide member of a press, having a housing, at a predetermined position. A crankshaft mechanism is provided for displacing the slide member and is rotatable within the housing. A gearwheel is coupled to the crankshaft for the rotation thereof. The gearwheel has stop blocks symmetrically disposed about its periphery. A cylinder is associated with each of the stop blocks and mounted adjacent the gearwheel. Each of the cylinders has a piston member therein for engagement with a stop block associated with the corresponding cylinder. The positions of the stop blocks on the gearwheel and the strokes of the piston members are adjustable to stop the crankshaft at a predetermined angle when a piston member engages with a stop block.
