What is described is a locally yielding structure (1) with high energy absorption for aeronautical applications, the said structure being substantially closed and substantially rigid, characterized in that at least one wall (3) of the said substantially closed structure comprises at least one vent valve (8) which can be opened when a pressure exceeding a predetermined value is present within the substantially closed structure (1) . In a particularly advantageous application, the invention is used in connection with a helicopter tank and enables the subfloor to be used to absorb energy by being deformed during any impact on the ground. The present invention is also advantageous for limiting the damage caused by explosions in an aircraft fuselage.

L'invention concerne une structure à coulissement local (1) à capacité d'absorption d'énergie élevée, destinée à des applications aéronautiques. Cette structure est sensiblement fermée et sensiblement rigide et se caractérise par le fait qu'au moins une paroi (3) de cette structure sensiblement fermée comporte au moins une valve de mise à l'air libre (8) pouvant s'ouvrir lorsque la pression à l'intérieur de ladite structure sensiblement fermée (1) dépasse une valeur prédéterminées. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention est utilisée conjointement avec un réservoir d'hélicoptère et utilise l'espace sous le plancher pour absorber l'énergie lors d'un impact contre le sol. La présente invention permet également de limiter les dommages dus aux explosions dans le fuselage d'un aéronef.
