ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A plurality of conductor grasping and piercing ridges are selectively disposed at an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis of a metallic crimpable ferrule and extend outwardly from its interior wire receiving surface so that upon crimping the ferrule about a wire inserted therewithin, the ridges penetrate the periphery of the wire along an obliquely oriented path defining a number of incrementally displaced transverse plaues longitudinally offset from one another to avoid shearing or severing the wire along any one common transverse plane.
