13 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A collet assembly for a hose crimping tool is dis- closed in which rigid metal jaw elements are encircled by and locked within a separately molded elastomeric cage. The cage positions the elements in the free state and allows them to be radially compressed for the crimping operation. Inter- locking surfaces are provided to retain the jaws within the cage without need of adhesives, or the like.
