"CROSS ARM PIN" Abstract of the Invention A cap fabricated of a nylon alloy or other suitable material is threaded onto one end of a metal cross arm pin. External threads are provided around the cap to receive a porcelain insulator. The cap is soft enough that the porcelain insulator will not be damaged when it is threaded onto the cap. However, the cap is strong enough that the porcelain insulator cannot be pulled off of the metal cross arm pin by substantial tensional and/or torsional forces.
