ABSTRACT A cross connector for series terminals, comprising a connecting arm portion on which spacer portions which extend to the bus bars of the series terminals are arranged by way of predetermined fracture points. The cross connector is provided with screws captively held in the spacer por- tions. Back spacer portion is a bar member having at least one perpendicu- lar limb and a lower transverse limb. The spacer bar is connected at the upper edge of the vertical limb, by way of the predetermined fracture point, at to the lower edge of the connecting arm portion in the form of a narrow gripping bar. The screw is arranged in the lower transverse limb and is captively held by a retaining means disposed above it. The retaining means can be provided by deformation of the limbs of the spacer bar or as holding member formed integrally on a common connector bar which encloses the grip- per bar.
