An assembly (1) for use when skiing, particularly with the diagonal stride technique, including a ski (2) and members for increasing the bending stiffness of the ski (2) to maintain or increase the upward motion of the underside (7) of the ski (2), at least in one part of the purchase area (10), when the heel of the foot is lowered. Said members particularly include a plate (3) placed over the top surface (6) and held in place by means of fastening elements (4, 5).

L'ensemble (1) comprend notamment un ski (2) et des moyens augmentant la rigidité en flexion du ski (2), de façon à conserver ou augmenter le soulèvement en direction verticale de la face inférieure (7) du ski (2), au moins dans une partie de la zone d'accroche (10), lors de l'abaissement du talon du pied.
