ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An inclined plate clarifier adapted for horizontal flow of liquid to be clarified through flow passages formed between inclined plates, the clarifier being constructed to facilitate assembly, installation and cleaning. The clarifier includes inlet and outlet means at opposite ends of the in- clined clarifier plates with baffles and restrictions for regulating flow of the liquid to be clarified. The clarifier also includes transversely arranged interface plates for regulating the passage of separated materials from the flow passages, slave plates being selectively employed to vary the width of the clarifier flow passages between the inclined plates.
