A cross-linkable polymer composition containing a cross-linkable polymer having at least one hydrolysable silane group and at least one lactone silanol condensation catalyst, for example glycolide and lactide. The catalyst is not conducive to causing premature cross-linking. The composition provides a cross-linked polymer having good anti-scorch and adhesion properties.
