CROSS-LINKED, MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE PREPARED FROM PORE GENERATING PARTICLES ABSTRACT Absorbent retentive pulp is described which is capable of retaining good absorbency even after having been highly compressed. The pulp is produced by subjecting a microfibrillated pulp slurry to pore generation with pore generating particles and to cross-linking with a cross-linking agent.
